Nunthar

Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries on earth, and it is truly a piece of heaven on Earth. Nepal is a country that has been overabundantly blessed by nature in every aspect. Everything about this place is mesmerizing. The landmarks from Himalayas to Hills to the plain terrain Terrai, each of them have their own beauty and each of them have comprised to make a single unit that is our beautiful country Nepal. Talking about the terai region, it gives the eye pleasing view of plain area and a lot of diversities in culture and traditions.

The Rautahat district in Province 2 encompasses the Terai nation’s heart, soul, and personality. To obtain a Rautahat experience, you don’t have to travel far beyond Chandranigahapur, the district headquarters. Nunthar, for example, is a tiny village 16 kilometers north-east of Chandranigahapur with significant religious importance for the people.A traveler’s aim when visiting Nepal is to observe towering mountains, interwoven hills, and rivers moving from high terrain to the southern plains, gradually losing their intensity in graceful meanders. The majority of them make a stop there on their way out of the nation.They begin their journey south, though, and they are able to witness another side of Nepal: the Tarai, which is rich in huge landmasses, forests, meadows, and lowlands populated by indigenous people of various cultural origins.

Nunthar, located on the border of Rautahat, Makwanpur, and Sarlahi in the Chure forests, attracts religious pilgrims who visit the Shiva Temple to pay their respects. The temple is considered to be over 100 years old, and its story is braided with myth and legend. On the south side of the structure, there is a big pool of acidic water.Locals believe the water in the well has healing properties, and they visit the shrine frequently to sample the water. Basically, Nunthar is a village in the Central Region of our country Nepal. Nunthar is roughly 239 kilometers from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. Nunthar is a popular picnic area, and there is also a Shiva temple nearby.

Nunthar attracts a large number of visitors from the surrounding districts of Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara, Parsa, and Makwanpur. Taking the lead from the municipal administration, the area has taken steps to become a global tourism destination. The Committee has so far committed ten million rupees in the construction of a children’s park. In the Nunthar area, the Bagmati River has picnic areas, fishing spots, and boating amenities. Nunthar’s location and atmosphere, according to the local people there, make it an ideal location for establishing it as a tourist attraction. Surprisingly, the Bagmati River suspension bridge that connects Sarlahi has recently acquired popularity among visitors.Selfie enthusiasts gathered to the bridge in massive numbers when  JungeJharana is at Rautahat, another site to visit is the bridge. It is located around 16 kilometers west of Nunthar and is one of the district’s least visited areas.

The Musahar colony is also in Chandranigahapur, which had made the news in our country as an example community some time ago. DhurmusSuntali, a well-known pair, established it. The DhurmusSuntali Foundation’s model community drew people from all over the world to take a tour of the village in Rautahat.Within the town, a view tower was built to provide a 360-degree view of the surrounding hills. A fee of Rs 100 is charged to get to the roof.

Best time to visit Nunthar:The best periods to visit Nunthar in Nepal are January to May and September to December, when temperatures are comfortable to hot and rainfall is low to moderate. Nunthar experiences the greatest average temperature of 36°C in April and the lowest average temperature of 22°C in January.

How to get there: Nunthar is accessible by plane as well as bus. Regular bus services run between Nepal’s capital and other regions of the country. This destination is about a five-hour bus ride away. Simara Airport is a nearby airport.
