Karnali River Rafting

The Karnali rafting, that begins at Dungeshwar and ends at Chisapani, is a one-day drive from Kathmandu. The karnali river is the longest one in Nepal, and it stems from the glaciers of Kailash Parvat, a mountain of great religious importance for Hindus and Buddhists. This mountain is mythically described as a main dwelling place of God Mahadeva.

The Karnali rafting offers you the rapids up to class IV, letting you enjoy the views of impressive gorges, wild vegetation and gigantic hills and mountains before you move down near to the plains of the Terai, where the river calms down, and there you will be able to see graceful movements of dolphins,as you have easy floats going on. So, the rafting in Karnali is a unique blend of the most adventurous rapids and a relaxed, soothing float in the gently flowing calm water. After finishing your river trip at Chisapani, you can visit Bardia National Park too.

There are travel agencies available to facilitate your rafting, kayaking and trekking trips.
